There’s nothing quite like fresh, farm to table food. In today’s restaurant spotlight, we’re channeling our inner food nerd to share about Leander’s Farm to Fork restaurant.
Classified as a “Southern Restaurant,” Owner and Chef Shelley Pogue sought to create a neighborhood restaurant reminiscent of spending the day at her Mamaw’s house on Sundays. For the freshest-tasting fare, Farm to Fork’s menu is based on simple comfort foods, grown locally and organically, and sourced non-GMO whenever possible.
You’ll taste hints of French flair with the iconic Texas-southern homestyle cuisine. Menu items change depending on what is fresh and in season. Some of the daily offerings include a locally-sourced beef burger with organic trimmings, house-roasted turkey breast panini with house-made organic pesto, and a triple-threat grilled cheese on jalapeno cheddar bread with three kinds of cheese and sriracha aioli, and a salted truffle oil finish (wow!). You’ll love the #MooPig meatloaf sandwich with Akaushi Beef and natural pork with Wright’s hickory thick-cut bacon, three types of cheese, caramelized onions, sriracha aioli, and house barbecue sauce on jalapeno cheese bread. Seriously, our mouths are watering! Be sure to ask about their beef tenderloin sandwich and #TheForkReuben sandwich–delicious and full of flavor!
If you’re looking to complement your meal with an adult beverage, Farm to Fork serves local Central Texas micro-brewed beer, along with Messina Hof, Becker, and Llano Estacado Texas wines and Chilean organic wine.
Currently, Farm to Fork’s hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am to 8 pm. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant is closed between 2 pm and 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday for deep-cleaning and sanitizing the restaurant. The dining room is open, and they reiterate that their staff has been trained on sanitizing and safety procedures. Delivery is available via Door Dash. The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays.
