Neighborhood Spotlight: Bryson In Leander, TX

Bryson is one of Leander’s master-planned communities of the year. It even made it on the 2021 list of residential developments in the Austin area that tracks neighborhoods with the most housing starts. The study follows housing starts, closings, price, and active builders. The Bryson community made their first appearance on this list. Here is more information on the community.

Bryson community has 530 acres and features exciting amenities like The Backyard, a stocked fishing pond, nature trails throughout the community, and more. The Backyard has a family-friendly resort-style pool and splash pad, pavilion and gallery outdoor bar, lawn games, fire pits, and play area. They even have a Lifestyle Director to organize community events throughout the year like family “Glampouts,” outdoor fitness classes, live music concerts, cooking classes, a monthly farmers market, and more! 

Bryson works with several award-winning home builders to give you various layouts, styles, designs, and quality. The homes in this neighborhood have modern-day features paired with classic exterior style architecture like Farmhouse, Craftsman, and Traditional. These three styles were selected to be a reminder of the Bryson Family history. Chesmar Homes has prices from the mid $300, with homes ranging from 1,7000 to 3,000 square feet. Lennar Homes has several options with varying price points and square footage. Perry Homes has home prices from the $550s with square footage between 2,500 and 4,200. Tri Pointe Homes offer homes from the mid $400s with square footage between 1,767 to 2,882.  

Bryson’s younger residents are zoned for Leander Independent School District. The district has been labeled as one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state. The Bryson community is zoned for Jim Plain Elementary School (2 miles away), Danielson Middle School (3 miles away), and Tom Glenn High School (3 miles away). There are even plans for an onsite future elementary school. Plus, the newest Austin Community College campus is a stoplight away for higher learning opportunities! 

The community has HOA dues around $70 a month, and the tax rate is broken down as so:

City of Leander – 0.5368

Williamson County – 0.46

Austin Community College – 0.1058

Leander ISD – 1.4184

MUD – 0.35

Total = 2.87
