Cedar Park and Leander are rapidly growing, and it’s due to an influx of new residents. But why is everyone so determined to live here? We’re going to tell you why!
- School District
A significant motivating factor for families who move to Leander and Cedar Park is the Leander Independent School District. Leander ISD is a top-rated school district with many distinguishing characteristics. In 2019, the Texas Education Agency gave 23 Leander ISD schools an A rating. The schools in Leander ISD are known for excellent education and preparing their students. The Austin Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Leander ISD as the district’s area-best college readiness. 85% of LISD’s 2020 graduates were college, career, or military ready as defined by the state’s data. It’s 22 points higher than the state average.
- Proximity to Austin
Leander and Cedar Park boast proximity to Austin, but without the Austin prices. According to ABOR’s January 2022 numbers, the median sales price was $476,000. It’s a new record for January. In Williamson County, that number was $460,000. Williamson County had an increase in active listings too. There’s more inventory in Williamson County and for less money.
Besides prices, Leander is a stop on the MetroRail line, making commuting easy for those who go into Austin for work. Cedar Park also has an easy commute to Austin too.
