Target Grand Opening in Liberty Hill: A New Everyday Convenience for Our Growing Community

Liberty Hill is getting a new reason to run errands close to home. Target officially opened its doors on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 353 US Highway 183 in Liberty Hill. For many local families, that means a familiar place for weekly essentials, birthday gifts, school supplies, fresh groceries and those last-minute items that seem to appear out of nowhere.

At The Cummings Team®, we love seeing the everyday conveniences that make life in Liberty Hill easier while the community holds onto the character that drew so many of us here in the first place. This opening feels especially meaningful because it brings another major shopping option right into our growing community.

A Big Addition at Liberty Hill Crossing

This is not a small-format store. Target says the Liberty Hill location is approximately 148,000 square feet and is expected to employ about 200 team members. It is one of the larger new Target stores opening in Texas this fall.

The scale matters because it gives local residents more choices without requiring an extra trip down the road. Whether you are stocking the pantry after a busy week, picking up a new charging cable, choosing a teacher gift or refreshing a guest room before family arrives, having more of those errands in one place can make a real difference in the rhythm of a week.

What Shoppers Can Expect

The Liberty Hill Target will offer the blend of convenience and selection that many households already know and appreciate. Target has confirmed the store will include:

  • A food-forward grocery selection with fresh produce, meat and dairy
  • A Starbucks Café and CVS Pharmacy
  • Drive Up and Order Pickup services
  • Same-day delivery through Target Circle 360

Those options give residents flexibility. We can browse the aisles when we have time, schedule a Drive Up order between appointments or use delivery when life gets especially full. The store’s published hours are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

More Than a Shopping Trip

New retail is about more than a new sign along the highway. It is about everyday access, local jobs and the ability to spend more time doing the things that make Liberty Hill feel like home. The Liberty Hill Independent reports the opening will bring more than 200 jobs to the community, and Target has already connected with local food pantries ahead of opening day.

We see this addition as another marker of how Liberty Hill is evolving. Families can enjoy more nearby conveniences while still being close to Hill Country scenery, local traditions, community events and the neighborly feel that sets this area apart. Growth brings change, but the best version of growth supports the way people actually live.

Planning a First Visit

New-store excitement often brings heavier traffic and busy parking areas. The store is located at Liberty Hill Crossing on US 183, so pairing your visit with nearby errands could make for an efficient outing.

For a calmer first trip, the weeks after opening can be a great time to explore the grocery selection, learn the store layout and see which services fit your household. Drive Up and Order Pickup are particularly useful options for parents, commuters and anyone trying to make the most of a packed day.

Why It Matters for Liberty Hill Living

When people ask us what makes Liberty Hill such an appealing place to call home, the answer is never just one thing. It is the sense of community, the space to breathe, the local school spirit, the easy access to outdoor time and the growing collection of places that make day-to-day life more convenient.

The new Target belongs in that last category. It is a practical addition, but it also reflects the confidence businesses have in Liberty Hill’s future. As the area continues to welcome new neighbors, we are glad to see services and shopping choices growing alongside the community.

If you are considering a move to Liberty Hill, or simply want a local perspective on the neighborhoods and lifestyle here, we would love to help. At The Cummings Team®, we are here to share what makes each part of this community feel like home. If we can help you, contact us today.
