5th Element Brewing
Location: 100 E. Evans St., Leander
After several years of delays, the local Leander brewpub has finally announced its opening on June 30th, 2023, with a grand opening party expected in mid-July! Located in Old Town Leander, 5th Element Brewing focuses on artisan beer with flavor profiles built from scratch for each brew. After numerous delays due to the pandemic, supply chain issues, and inflation, the pub, originally scheduled to open at the end of 2018, is “finally ready to open,” according to co-owner Mike Brune.
Agape BBQ
Location: 3610 RM 1869, Ste. B, Liberty Hill
The mouth wateringly delicious BBQ restaurant, named initially Agape Java, has been a staple in the Liberty Hill community since its opening. This laid-back, family-owned BBQ hotspot is beloved due to its unique hangout-style landscape.
“This is literally a place where people can come and hang out for hours at a time—kind of turning [our] backyard into their backyard for a short period of time,” says one of the owners, Jeremy Archer.
Noble Delights Bakery
Location: 2091 US 183, Ste. B, Leander
With its notorious slogan “delightfully delicious and creative desserts,” Noble Delights Bakery has quickly made a name for itself across the Leander community, especially as news of its soft opening this July reached residents. The bakery specializes in custom-made cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes, and an assortment of desserts, including mini desserts like creme brulees. The business, owned by Regina Noble, originally began operating from home but quickly grew in popularity. Noble Delights will host a grand opening event on August 26th.
